KAMPALA — Carrefour, owned and operated by Majid Al Futtaim in Uganda, received the Gold Award for Best Shopping Supermarket at this year’s Consumers Choice Awards.

The Consumers Choice Awards 2020/2021, which took place on March 31, 2021, recognize business excellence annually by conducting comprehensive and objective independent market research survey, to determine brand reputation, customer satisfaction and business excellence for the quality of their service.

In a statement released by the retail giant, Carrefour thanked the Consumer Choice Awards for the prestigious award.

“This award is a testament to the hard work of our colleagues and recognizes our efforts to deliver exceptional value for our Ugandan customers through more convenient and modernized shopping experiences,” the statement reads.

Carrefour currently operates two stores in Uganda – Oasis Mall and Naalya at Metroplex – offering an unrivalled choice of products at unbeatable value. More than 90 per cent of these products are sourced from local suppliers in Uganda.
