Standard Charted Bank to close Kampala, Jinja branches on weekend

KAMPALA/ JINJA – Standard Charted Bank has in a public notice released Thursday, May 29, indicated that it will have all its branches in Kampala and Jinja on Saturday, 1 June closed.

The arrangement according to the Bank management is to allow its staff participate in “a bank activity.”

“This is to inform you that all our branches in Kampala and Jinja be claoed on Saturday 1st June, to allow our staff participate in a bank activity, reads a public notices by the bank.

During this period, the bank has urged clients to use its Mobile App, online Banking and Straight2Bank platforms.

Customers have also been told to use Speke Road, Lugogo, Village Mall and City branches and Digital banking outlets at Shell Ntinda and Shell Kaazi for Cash Deposit,
Bulk Mobile Money Payments and ATM services.

The bank has since regretted the inconveniences caused.
