Just over 48 hours after he was named interim Uganda Cranes head coach, Abdallah Mubiru has kicked off his duties.

The Police FC head coach has on Friday, July 12th, summoned a 30 man squad that is to start preparations for the upcoming CHAN 2020 qualifier.

Uganda is slated to face Somalia in the first leg of the first round of qualification, on Saturday, 26th July 2017, in Mogadishu.

The Squad that Mubiru has summoned includes 5 goalkeepers, 9 defenders, 12 midfielders and 4 strikers.

They will kick-start training on Sunday, May 14th, at StarTimes Stadium in Lugogo where they will hold a session at 10am. The single session routine will continue through the following day (Monday).

On Tuesday and Wednesday, the team will hold double sessions with one at 10am and the other at 4pm.

The team will then hold a morning session on Thursday, 18th July, before entering residential camp in the evening.

The Cranes will enter residential camp on Thursday, 18th July 2019.

They will then travel for Hoima the following day. While in Hoima, they will play a Regional tour game with Kitara Region on Saturday before returning to Kampala on Sunday.

Upon returning to Kampala, they will step-up preparations for the game against Somalia, on the 26th of July.

-Friday 12th July- Uganda Squad of locally based players named

-Sunday and Monday 14th-15th July 2019: Training sessions at 10am in Lugogo

-Tuesday and Wednesday- 16th-17th July-Double training sessions (10am/4pm) at Lugogo

-Thursday 18th July-Training 10am at Lugogo, enter residential camp in the evening

-Friday 19th July-Travel to Kitara, train in Hoima for the Regional tour match

-Saturday 20th July-Uganda Cranes vs Kitara Region Select

-Sunday 21st July travel back to Kampala
