Vipers qualified for the competition after winning the Uganda Premier league last season.

KCCA FC became the first Ugandan club to reach the revised tournament’s group stages this past season but were eliminated before making it to the knock out.

The Kasasiro Boys themselves have been given a by in the preliminary round of the Confederations cup.

However, they will face the winner between Mtibwa Sugar of Tanzania and Seychelles champions Northern Dynamo in the first round of the competition.
