Ndejje University Football Club over the weekend booked a berth to play in the 2018/19 season of the Uganda Premier League.

This was after drawing with Kamuli Park 0-0 in the Elgon group match played at the Kamuli Municipal Stadium on Sunday evening coupled by their nearest rivals Paidah Black Angles losing away to JMC Hippos.

The draw took the Luweero based club to 40 points, one ahead of second placed Paidha Black Angels.

Ndejje University now joins Rwenzori group winners, Nyamityobora who attained promotion two weeks ago.

Nyamityobora were the first to seal promotion

Nyamityobora ended the regular season with maximum points at home in Mbarara after a 2-0 win against visiting Water with team captain Douglas Muganga and Brian Muluri on the mark for Nyamityobora, a club coached by Uganda U-20 assistant coach James Odoch.

The promoted clubs will have to undergo the necessary club licensing procedure before they are fully admitted as full members among the 16 Uganda Premier League clubs.

The third club is determined via a promotional play off where the first and second runners up engage in a mini league and the winner of the final joins the top tier as the third promoted club.

The clubs that have qualified for the play offs include Kitara FC, Kabale Sharp (Rwenzori) as well as Paidha Black Angels and Kyetume (Elgon).
