FOOTBALL–After days of speculation linking former Soana FC head coach Shafic Bisaso to a possible move to Express FC, news that other clubs are interested in him have emerged.
According to reliable information, Bisaso who resigned from his role as head coach of Soana FC a few weeks ago is also being touted by Mbarara City and UPDF FC.
Bisaso who has seen himself loose two jobs in a space of one year having been fired from SC Villa at the start of the year has been highly tipped to replace Matia Lule at Express FC who left at the start of the season.
Matia Lule left the Red Eagles sighting unpaid salaries and poor working conditions and was replaced on a temporary basis by Douglas Bamweyaya who has won himself no favours as he has not gotten the team sufficient results to suggest that he can lead them back to its glory days.
Bisaso who is yet to confirm any developments is now being linked to the vacant role at army side UPDF FC who only last week announced that they had granted interim Uganda Cranes coach Moses Basena a two months leave sighting a request from FUFA.
The former midfielder is also beloved to be in contention for the Mbarara City top job and with current coach Vianny Binomugisha not in good terms with the club’s top management, the rumours should not be taken lightly.
It remains to be seen where Bisaso will end up but looking at the situation at all the three clubs he is being linked to, he will have a handful of work to do to change any of their fortunes.
Mbarara City are ninth on the table with nine points from seven games and have not won any of their away games this season.
Express are seating just above relegation having lost all their away games so far while UPDF who have collected only five points from seven games this season are second from bottom.
By the time Bisaso left Soana, they had only managed a single win from the first five games which leaves a lot to be desired by any of the faithfuls I the particular clubs interested in his services.
