KISORO: Four detained on murder allegations

KISORO-Police in Kisoro district is holding four people on suspicion of having masterminded the killing of a 30-year-old man.

The suspects include; Sarah Ainembabazi aged 22, Saul Natukunda 20, Justus Twehangane alias Kakya aged 14 and 18 respectively only identified as Wizo all Batwa by tribe and residents of Kisoro district.

The four are accused of killing a one Richard Kalule, a carpenter in Kisoro district and a resident of Kibuli Kampala.

The incident happened on the night of Friday, July 20, at around 11 pm in Kashija village, Rubuguri town council in Kisoro district.

According to the Kigezi Region Police Spokesperson Elly Maate, the deceased was allegedly stabbed in the stomach by Natukunda, few minutes after leaving Sun City bar where he was together with his girlfriend Ainembabzi.

Mr Maate says that the suspects are detained at Kisoro police station for questioning while the body of Kalule was taken Rubuguri hospital mortuary for postmortem as investigations in the matter continue.

“We have them in police custody pending investigations and once completed, the law will take the course” Mr Maate confirmed the arrest.
