IGANGA– Grace Nabatanzi, a resident of Nakalama Sub County in Iganga district has on Wednesday 6 been arrested by Police for allegedly murdering her 48-year- old husband, Yakubu Kabweine on Tuesday night.

Nabatanzi was found in one of the sugarcane plantation along Iganga-Mbale high way where she had taken cover after the murder.

According to sources, the deceased had earlier caught Nabatanzi (wife) red-handed committing adultery with a witch doctor as part of a ritual to cleanse their home.

This resulted into a fight between the two and in the process, Nabatanzi was prompted to assault husband with a machete killing him instantly.

Mariam Nalubanga, their neighbour says they had invited a witch-doctor in the home and had spent three days.

The Busoga East Police Spokesperson James Mubi, said the suspect will be taken to court before the end of this week as investigations into the matter continue.

However, Police is still searching for the witch-doctor’s whereabouts who will be charged with aiding murder.
