Kira Road DPC Micheal Kasigire confirmed the death of two people while 29 others are admitted to Mulago hospital with serious injuries. Some have had their limbs amputated.

“We can so far confirm one person dead, identified as Musimenta Phillipah,” said police in a statement.

A total of 9 motor vehicles and two motor cycles were involved.

Motor vehicles include; UAS 905T, UBA 152H, UAS 511L, UAW 100L, UAA 497L(caused the accident), UBA 185J, UAR 679S  and UAR 673L.  Motorcycles include UEW 146R and UES 363Z.

Meanwhile, Ms Maria Nabayunga, a laboratory attendant at Nsambya Hospital Kampala, who went missing on Sunday, was yesterday dumped by unknown people at her sister’s house in Kansanga, a Kampala suburb at 2 pm.

Nabayunga left home in Buzinga, Makindye Division to meet her friends but never returned and her phones were switched off.

However, police say Ms Nabayunga was not kidnapped.

“She had her own problems, which problems both the family and Police are handling. We want to thank everyone who contributed in one way or another during the search for her,” he said.
