RUBANDA: The former commissioner in the Ministry of Education, Fagil Mande, has asked residents in Rubanda District to plan effectively for life after retirement to avoid suffering during old age.

Addressing residents of Hamurwa and Nyamweru sub-counties in a development seminar organised by the Uganda Retirement Benefits of Regulatory Authority [URBRA] and the Rubanda East MP Henry Musasizi at the weekend, Dr Fagil said most Ugandans suffer at an old age not because they never worked but due to their failure to save.

Fagil futher said most people misuse the resources they get while still working on unnecessary things like drinking and outings which lead them to spend anyhow.

Mande condemned the tendency of some workers prioritising too much of their income on expenditure and ignoring that the best practice they can ever adopt is saving.
