Agnes Nabulwala the proprietor of Safe script pharmaceuticles Ltd has dragged the National Drug Authority to the High Court, accusing it of declaring her Hepatitis B vaccination drug as counterfeit, yet it was inspected and verified by NDA officials upon its import.
Nabulwala in her complaint, a copy of which PML Daily has seen, says following a Ministry of Health campaign, calling for the public to immunise against Hepatitis B, she secured the drugs, which she has been widely supplying to schools and administering to students and communities. She claims that in the process, theNDA held a press conference and without any proof, declared their drug as counterfeit.
She adds that since then, many of her clients have been to her business premises in Ntinda trading centre demanding a refund of their money on grounds that they were immunised with a fake drug.
Nabulwala is now asking court to declare that her drug she secured from India is genuine and conformed to the required DNA regulations upon being released to her .
She also wants court to nullify NDA’s declaration to halt the vaccination of Hepatitis B because many people were left with the last dosage to be taken in May 2018.
Court is yet to set a date for hearing the petition.
