MBALE–The Ministry of Agriculture, Animal, Industry and Fisheries (MAAIF) has launched a Shs2.8b Veterinary Diogonistic Laboratory in Mbale district to serve Bugisu, Bukedi, Sebei and Teso region.
Speaking during the launch on Monday, Dr. Anna Rosa Ademun, the acting commissioner in the MAAIF, said the up-to-date facility will help farmers in the region to save money by first diagnosing and treating the right diseases that might affect their animals.
Michael Wandukwa, the Mbale district Veterinary officer, said this will help serve thousands of
households because in Mbale region alone boasts 60,000 households with lots of animals.
