Government on course to meet 2016 – 2021 NRM Manifesto targets

Two years ago, the President, who is also Chairman of the National Resistance Movement party, was overwhelmingly voted by Ugandans. As part of the programs to publicize the Manifesto achievements registered over the last two years, the Office of the President has organized the second Manifesto Week running from 11th to 18th May 2018.

The week started with a press conference addressed by the Prime Minister, the Minister for Presidency and the NRM Secretary General on Friday May 11th 2018. Subsequently, policy leaders and mangers from the key sectors of Energy, Social Development, Health, Works, Accountability, Water and Environment, Agriculture and Education will come forward to report progress.

The role of monitoring and assessing the implementation of the Manifesto falls under the Manifesto Implementation Unit in the Office of the President and we have, in the last two years taken some key strategic interventions towards attaining specific Manifesto implementation targets.

We monitored the implementation of manifesto commitments in Ankole, Bugisu, Busoga, Bunyoro, Lango, Masaka, Rwenzori, Teso and West Nile sub-regions.
