Ugandan singer Joanita wins Shs130m in Denmark’s ‘DR Live singing’ 2018 competitions

COPENHAGEN– Joanita Lubega Zachariaseen, a Ugandan female singer based in Denmark, last Saturday 20th October 2018 scooped herself top DR Live singing competitions accolade in Copenhagen, Denmark.

She was awarded over 250,000DKr equivalent to 130million Uganda shillings.

Joanita who pursued her musical career from the age of 17 hit the Danish limelight through the “Denmark’s got talent” in 2009.

She has been perfecting her musical dream until she beat a number of competitors to the country’s top accolade. The singer mixes up Luganda and English.

Joanita is most popular for her song ‘Heartbreaker’.

The sexy singer also has video ‘Kyoyagala’ featuring local rapper TheMith Mayanja.

When asked if she is inspired by Ugandan artists, “Yes I do follow the Ugandan music and the different artists: I love our Artists a lot and my so far favorites are Sheebah, A-Pass, Irene Ntale and Bebe Cool,” she revealed.
