KAMPALA – It was a moment of tears and grief as the news broke the world that Ugandan vocalist, songwriter and singer Mowzey Radio real name Ssekibogo Moses had passed on.

On Friday 25th February 2019, the late Radio would have made 34 years and many artists took it upon themselves to wish the singer a happy birthday.

In his memory, fellow artistes organized a listening party dubbed ‘Mowzey Radio listening party’ that took place at DNA lounge in Kololo, a bar owned by Jose Chameleon

Today, February 1 the singer makes exactly one year since he died.

Many artistes have shared different memories in respect of their colleague

Benon, a producer at Swangz Avenue said, “Radio is the only artiste that would sing with emotions that those who never worked with him may not understand. We miss him.”

For Cinderella Sanyu alias Cindy, she misses the protective radio. “Mowzey radio was the best songwriter. Besides, he was the only artiste that would sing for hours without losing his breath.”|

“Radio never wrote me any song, however, he inspired me into the industry. He had a very nice voice and indeed I miss him,” said Ykee Benda.

Rema Namakula said” I miss his voice, I miss his everything, I miss him so much. Sometimes I imagine if he was here, you would see his reaction on these laws.”
