Singer Dizzy Nuts aka Galiwango is dead. The hardcore Dancehall Reggae artiste was knocked dead by a hit-and-run car in Kireka, Wakiso district in the wee hours of Monday morning.
Dizzy Nuts started out as a member of the Fire Base Crew headed by musician-turned politician Robert Kyagulanyi aka Bobi Wine.
He later quit the Fire Base Crew and joined the Gagamel team led by Moses Ssali aka Bebe Cool with whom they released a monster hit, Fire Burn Dem which brought him into Uganda’s music elite.
At the height of his career, he was chosen to share the stage with touring Jamaican Dancehall legend, Elephant Man and according to revelers, the dancehall artiste really impressed.
According to Ssaka Mwebe, the Manager Victoria Club, a popular joint in Kireka, the car sped off after knocking Dizzy and he alleged that the driver of the hit-and-run car could have wanted to knock Bebe Cool who was with the deceased at the time of the accident.
The monster voiced Dizzy has lately been rather silent musically but no one can deny the fact that Uganda has lost a musician with a great natural baritone voice.
